Kurupt “Yessir” prod. by Pete Rock

I don’t know how I slept on this one, but Pete Rock spun it on Beat Junkies’ Ustream channel a few nights ago (If you were there, you know how historic that was!). And since that night I’ve been wearing it out. What gets me so much is both Kurupt and Pete hit us from interesting angles that are familiar and new at the same time. Kurupt’s flow is insane on this. This is that “play in the car, roll down the windows and front” music.

De Blog Jam sets it off 1nce again. David Banner and Big Remo in the studio listening to their new 9th Wonder produced banger called “Isn’t It Strange”. The chops in this one are CRAZY! The content sounds pretty strong too, with both emcees tacking social and political issues that Black people can surely relate to. I’m bumping this one loooud when it comes out.

“Titanic” “Money Folder”

So I stopped by Fat Beats a couple of Saturdays ago for National Record Store Day. The mood was chill, music was good and the sun was setting, so all was well. While there, I ran into an mc named Haz Solo, who hit me off with his mixtape “Greater Than”. He had a good vibe about him so I decided to check it out when I got home and I was immediately impressed. Dude has flow, personality and an ear for good beats. So here’s the mixtape for you and yours. Here’s to mc’s who actually use extra effort when they put together their songs.
